About the Role

Form Energy is building the next generation of multi-day energy storage to help keep the electric grid secure and reliable—especially during extended periods of stress. We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and advance our test infrastructure, supporting the development and validation of our energy storage technology.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and improve mechanical test setups and supporting systems
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define test requirements, instrumentation needs, and mechanical interfaces
  • Develop and document test procedures, fixture designs, and assembly methods
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues during testing and drive corrective actions
  • Ensure test infrastructure is safe, reliable, and scalable for ongoing development

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong experience designing mechanical systems and test fixtures for engineering validation
  • Proficiency with CAD tools and engineering documentation
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
