About the Role
Form Energy is building the next generation of multi-day energy storage to help keep the electric grid secure and reliable—especially during extended periods of stress. We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and advance our test infrastructure, supporting the development and validation of our energy storage technology.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and improve mechanical test setups and supporting systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define test requirements, instrumentation needs, and mechanical interfaces
- Develop and document test procedures, fixture designs, and assembly methods
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during testing and drive corrective actions
- Ensure test infrastructure is safe, reliable, and scalable for ongoing development
Requirements
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong experience designing mechanical systems and test fixtures for engineering validation
- Proficiency with CAD tools and engineering documentation
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
