About the Role
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is seeking a Senior Onsite Shipyard Representative to lead and coordinate installation and test activities for the Fire Control System supporting the COLUMBIA Class ballistic missile submarine program. You will act as the primary on-site point of contact, ensuring work is executed safely, accurately, and in alignment with program requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate shipyard installation and test efforts for the Fire Control System
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the program and shipyard stakeholders
- Monitor execution to ensure technical requirements, schedules, and procedures are followed
- Support issue resolution during installation and test activities to maintain program momentum
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance required at time of hire
- U.S. citizenship required due to work performed in company facilities
