About the Role

Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged, electrified vehicles—grounded in a legacy of exploration, craftsmanship, and respect for customers and communities. We’re seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to help ensure our suspension, brakes, and alignment systems meet performance, reliability, and quality expectations from development through production.

Responsibilities

  • Own product quality for suspension, braking, and alignment components across design, validation, and launch activities.
  • Develop and execute quality plans, test strategies, and verification approaches to prevent defects and drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze test results and field learnings to identify root causes, containment actions, and long-term corrective improvements.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and quality gates.
  • Support issue triage, CAPA development, and trend reporting to improve system-level outcomes.
  • Contribute to documentation and standards alignment for quality processes and engineering deliverables.

Requirements

  • Experience in product quality engineering, validation engineering, or related roles within automotive systems.
  • Strong understanding of suspension, braking, and alignment fundamentals, testing, and common failure modes.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing quality activities through development and production.
  • Proficiency with quality tools and data-driven problem solving (e.g., 8D, FMEA, defect analysis).
