About the Role
Brex is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer to strengthen our security operations. In this role, you’ll help protect customer and internal systems by improving detection, response, and operational processes across the security lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate security events to identify and respond to potential threats
- Improve SOC workflows, alert quality, and incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to enhance logging, detection engineering, and automation
- Drive continuous improvements to operational readiness, metrics, and post-incident learnings
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, and threat investigation
- Experience with SIEM/SOAR tooling and security monitoring best practices
- Working knowledge of common security concepts, detection logic, and incident lifecycle management
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and clear communication during high-severity events
