About the Role
Wellington Management is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Limits & Restrictions (ELR) engineering team. You’ll help build and support a platform that powers investment compliance and trading controls, enabling reliable enforcement of enterprise limits across trading workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software components for the ELR compliance and controls platform
- Collaborate with engineering and partner teams to translate business and compliance needs into robust technical solutions
- Improve system reliability through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous enhancements
- Support production systems with a focus on correctness, performance, and maintainability
- Contribute to healthy engineering practices, including code reviews and technical documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a software engineer with strong backend development skills
- Experience building and supporting production systems in a regulated or control-oriented environment
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Comfort working with APIs, databases, and distributed system concepts
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team
