About the Role
Procare Solutions is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and run Procare Pay, our payments processing platform. You’ll support credit card and ACH transactions that enable childcare businesses to run smoothly—helping ensure secure, reliable payments and better experiences for families.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver backend services for payment processing
- Ship and maintain APIs that support credit card and ACH transaction flows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, performance, and observability
- Participate in engineering discussions around architecture, scalability, and security
- Contribute to testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement of production systems
Requirements
- Proven experience as a software engineer building and operating production services
- Strong backend development skills and comfort working with payment-related workflows
- Experience with distributed systems concepts such as reliability, idempotency, and error handling
- Ability to troubleshoot issues in live environments and drive solutions to completion
