About the Role
Kilmer & Associates, now part of Archer Lewis, is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to support individuals, entrepreneurs, and closely held businesses with high-quality tax advisory services across the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas. You’ll join a team known for practical guidance, responsive client service, and long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee tax engagements from planning through completion
- Provide tax strategy and advisory support to clients and internal teams
- Review and ensure accuracy of tax work prepared by team members
- Coordinate with clients to gather information and address questions efficiently
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance service quality and efficiency
- Support business development efforts through strong client communication and expertise
Requirements
- Proven experience in tax management within a public accounting or advisory setting
- Strong knowledge of federal and applicable state tax rules
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain tax concepts clearly
- CPA or equivalent tax credentials preferred
