About the Role
Redwood Materials is building a localized battery supply chain that connects recovery, reuse, and recycling to keep critical minerals in circulation. We’re seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager, Chemical Engineering, to lead high-impact programs that take next-generation chemical processes from early development through scale-up and commercialization.
Responsibilities
- Own program strategy and execution for chemical process development, scale-up, and deployment
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across R&D, engineering, operations, and manufacturing to drive technical progress
- Translate scientific breakthroughs into practical plans, milestones, and deliverables
- Manage schedules, risks, and dependencies to keep programs on track
- Support commercialization planning by aligning technical readiness with operational requirements
Requirements
- Background in chemical engineering or closely related chemical process disciplines
- Proven experience leading technical programs in R&D and/or industrial scale-up environments
- Strong ability to bridge technical teams and operational stakeholders
- Experience managing complex projects with clear milestones, risk tracking, and cross-team coordination
