About the Role
MatX is building AI systems that run at peak efficiency within the limits of physics. We’re seeking a hands-on SIPI (Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, and Characterization) Engineer to join our hardware team. You will lead electrical characterization for high-speed SerDes links and power delivery networks used across our AI accelerator compute systems.
You’ll design and scale test automation to validate thousands of channels, partnering with SIPI engineers and board designers to influence design decisions from early concepts through production.
Responsibilities
- Characterize high-speed SerDes interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and custom protocols
- Measure and analyze signal and power integrity behavior across accelerator platforms
- Build and extend test automation infrastructure to support high channel counts
- Collaborate with board design and SIPI teams to validate electrical performance against requirements
- Help translate findings into actionable design guidance during bring-up and production
Requirements
- Experience with signal integrity and power integrity characterization for high-speed interfaces
- Hands-on background in SerDes testing and electrical measurement
- Ability to develop or improve test automation workflows and instrumentation
- Strong analytical skills and practical understanding of hardware validation
- Comfort working cross-functionally with hardware design and SIPI engineering teams
