About the Role
Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer 2 to design, build, maintain, and improve complex software systems that support critical environments. You’ll contribute across the full development lifecycle, delivering scalable solutions for data-intensive analytics, large datasets, real-time systems, and enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop software components for processing-intensive analytics and large-scale data applications
- Maintain and enhance complex systems supporting critical operational needs
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through delivery and support
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and system performance
Requirements
- Experience building with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (React and/or Angular)
- Proficiency with Java for backend services and enterprise applications
- Working knowledge of Linux environments
- Mid-level experience delivering production software in collaborative teams
