About the Role

Built is an AI-powered platform that helps real estate teams finance, develop, and manage projects more efficiently. We’re looking for a Software Engineer I to support our Internal Tooling efforts—building and improving the internal systems that help our teams deliver faster and with greater reliability. This role is based in Nashville, TN and requires at least two days in-office each week.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain internal applications and tooling used by internal teams
  • Collaborate with engineers and product partners to design solutions and implement features
  • Write clean, testable code and help improve engineering quality standards
  • Troubleshoot issues, investigate root causes, and support ongoing system improvements
  • Contribute to documentation and internal processes to keep tooling easy to use and maintain

Requirements

  • Experience building software applications (language/framework based on your background)
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Comfort working with APIs, databases, and debugging in a production-like environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and communicate clearly
  • In-office requirement: at least 2 days per week in Nashville, TN
