About the Role
The Louisiana Special School District is seeking a Special Education Certified Instructor for the Southside Alternative High School’s Swanson Center for Youth. This role supports students receiving active treatment in an Intensive Care Facility, ensuring they receive legally mandated special education services.
Responsibilities
- Provide special education instruction for children, adolescents, and young adults with disabilities
- Support educational and/or behavioral goals aligned with legally required services
- Deliver instruction in an intensive care setting while maintaining a safe, supportive environment
- Collaborate with relevant staff to address student needs effectively
Requirements
- Current special education certification
- Ability to work with students whose disabilities impact educational and/or behavioral performance
- Commitment to meeting compliance and instructional requirements
