About the Role
EdgeBeam is building the foundational layer for hybrid network operations at the edge, enabling efficient one-to-many data distribution for modern wireless networks. We’re seeking a hands-on Staff Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop device-side software that helps connect people, data, and devices through broadcast network capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain embedded software for edge devices
- Own technical decisions as a senior individual contributor (no direct reports)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into reliable device functionality
- Debug complex issues and improve performance, stability, and maintainability
- Contribute to code quality through testing, reviews, and documentation
Requirements
- Strong embedded systems experience with device-side software development
- Proven ability to design and deliver production-quality software
- Experience working close to hardware constraints (performance, memory, timing, reliability)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in an onsite environment with a collaborative team
