About the Role
Babylist is transforming how software is built, and we’re doing it with an AI-first mindset. As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll help ensure our systems are reliable, observable, and resilient while teams move quickly from ideas to production. You’ll partner closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to deliver improvements end to end.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate reliable infrastructure and services with strong observability and incident readiness
- Drive reliability improvements across services, including performance, scalability, and resilience
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement safe deployment practices and effective monitoring
- Lead post-incident reviews and translate learnings into durable fixes
- Use automation and AI-assisted workflows to explore tradeoffs and accelerate troubleshooting
Requirements
- Deep experience in SRE practices such as monitoring, alerting, incident response, and reliability engineering
- Strong background with cloud infrastructure and production operations
- Proficiency with scripting and/or programming to build automation and tooling
- Experience improving deployment safety and system resilience
- Ability to partner cross-functionally and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
