About the Role
Chime is building financial products that help millions of members make real progress. Our Growth Engineering team creates the member-facing product surfaces and systems that turn our mission into measurable outcomes—using rapid, data-driven experimentation at scale.
This role is part of the Early Stage Experience area, focused on the beginning of the member journey. You’ll help transform new sign-ups into engaged, active members through reliable, high-volume systems that are fast to iterate on and dependable in production.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and architecture for high-traffic, member-facing experiences across the Growth stack
- Drive technical decisions as a subject matter expert, partnering with product and engineering leaders
- Design and improve systems that support acquisition, activation, and deeper engagement
- Enable and accelerate experimentation with scalable, dependable infrastructure
- Collaborate across teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives and influence product direction
Requirements
- Proven experience as a senior/Staff-level engineer delivering large-scale, member-facing systems
- Strong background in software architecture, performance, and reliability
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical work and mentor peers
- Experience building platforms or systems that support experimentation and data-informed iteration
- Track record of partnering effectively with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders
