About the Role
TaxRise is looking for a State Tax Investigation Specialist to support clients dealing with complex tax concerns. In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with clients and tax agencies while providing full-spectrum representation and working to move cases forward efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with state tax agencies and the IRS to support case resolution
- Manage and update client cases with accurate, timely documentation
- Prepare and submit Power of Attorney (POA) forms as required
- Maintain organized case files and ensure records are complete and up to date
- Provide clear, professional client communication throughout the process
Requirements
- Experience working with tax issues, tax investigations, or tax resolution processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases reliably
- Comfort coordinating with government agencies and third parties
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
