About the Role
Radiant, an El Segundo, CA-based startup developing portable nuclear microreactors, is seeking a proactive and technically minded Strategic Sourcing Manager to strengthen our supplier base and support mission-critical production needs. In this role, you’ll help drive sourcing strategy for complex, safety-focused components as we scale toward testing and early customer deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Own strategic sourcing activities across assigned categories, from supplier identification through award and ongoing performance management.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and program teams to understand requirements, timelines, and technical specifications.
- Develop sourcing plans, negotiate commercial terms, and support contracting activities.
- Conduct market research and supplier qualification to identify qualified, cost-effective sources.
- Track supplier performance using agreed metrics and drive corrective actions when needed.
- Maintain documentation for sourcing decisions, cost models, and supplier agreements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management (especially for technical or regulated products).
- Strong technical curiosity and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and operations stakeholders.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, vendor evaluation, and contract/commercial acumen.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and supplier records.
