About the Role
We’re seeking a part-time Teacher Assistant I to support our classroom teacher in delivering an engaging educational program. This role helps ensure a safe, positive learning environment while assisting with daily activities, child support, and family communication.
Responsibilities
- Monitor children’s safety and behavior in the classroom, on the bus, and on the playground
- Assist with setting up indoor and outdoor learning environments for the day’s activities
- Support instruction by helping meet children’s individual developmental needs
- Observe and record children’s behaviors to help identify strengths and growth areas
- Attend parent meetings, home visits, and parent/teacher conferences as needed
- Assist children during meals
- Perform other assigned duties to support classroom operations
Requirements
- Minimum education and qualifications as required by the position
- Ability to support children’s learning and development
- Strong focus on safety, behavior support, and professional communication
Benefits
- Part-time schedule, Monday–Friday (7:30am–2:30pm)
- $16.35/hour
- Weekly earned wage access option available for this position
