About the Role
The New York Times Publishing group builds and evolves the content management systems that power experiences across print, audio, and digital. As a Technical Product Manager II focused on Content Metadata, you’ll help development teams deliver improvements with speed and agility while enabling editors and creators to work more effectively.
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy and execution for content metadata capabilities within the Times’ publishing ecosystem
- Partner with engineering and stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize work, and drive delivery
- Translate editorial and creator needs into clear technical outcomes and measurable success criteria
- Coordinate cross-functional planning to ensure releases support both platform evolution and day-to-day publishing workflows
Requirements
- Experience as a product manager in a technical or platform-focused environment
- Strong understanding of metadata concepts and how they impact content discovery, organization, and workflows
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and editorial stakeholders
- Track record of managing product delivery from planning through launch
