About the Role
Toast is expanding beyond restaurants and launching the new Toast Retail platform for convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops. As a Retail Account Executive on a founding team, you’ll help shape how retailers adopt modern POS and operating tools—using a consultative, relationship-driven sales approach.
Responsibilities
- Prospect in your assigned geographic territory and build a pipeline of new retail accounts
- Develop trusted relationships with store owners and decision-makers through consultative discovery
- Understand each retailer’s unique needs and tailor solutions to fit their workflows
- Drive new business by presenting Toast Retail and moving deals from interest to close
Requirements
- Proven experience selling to retail or SMB customers, ideally in a territory-based role
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover needs and recommend solutions
- Comfort working independently, prioritizing activities, and building relationships consistently
- Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for helping launch and grow a new sales motion
