About the Role
Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is hiring a Therapist to support adults ages 55+ through our Older Adult Counseling Center. You’ll provide individual, group, and couples therapy in both office-based settings and community locations, including nursing homes and assisted living communities across Aurora.
We’re looking for a compassionate, client-centered clinician who enjoys building relationships in the community and is committed to improving mental health and well-being for older adults. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individual, group, and couples therapy for adults age 55+
- Provide services in traditional office settings and community-based sites (including long-term care environments)
- Build trusting therapeutic relationships and support client goals
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure high-quality care
- Maintain flexible, client-centered scheduling to meet community needs
Requirements
- Master’s-level therapist with one of the following credentials/paths: Unlicensed Therapist (MA in Counseling with Candidate Permit – SWC/LSW, LPCC, or MFT-C), or Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT)
- Or Unlicensed/Licensed Psychologist
- Strong interest and experience/comfort working with older adults
- Ability to provide therapy across multiple modalities (individual, group, couples)
- Bilingual ability is a plus
