About the Role
Woodard & Curran is hiring a Wastewater Treatment Operator Trainee to support day-to-day operations at water and wastewater facilities. You’ll learn from experienced, certified operators while helping maintain safe, compliant treatment processes that protect public health and the environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with monitoring and basic operation of wastewater treatment systems
- Support routine inspections, sampling, and recordkeeping to meet regulatory requirements
- Help troubleshoot operational issues and escalate concerns to certified operators
- Maintain safe work practices and follow site procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that keep plants running efficiently
Requirements
- Willingness to learn treatment operations and work toward required operator certifications
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety protocols
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working around industrial equipment
- Strong attention to detail for documentation and compliance
- Reliable attendance and a team-oriented mindset
