About the Role
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is seeking a Wildlife Enforcement Captain to lead and oversee enforcement operations within a regional patrol area. This role supports LDWF’s mission to protect and manage the state’s renewable natural resources through strong work ethic, reliable science, and sound information supported by technology.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and manage general and complex wildlife enforcement activities for the assigned region.
- Oversee day-to-day operational and patrol functions, ensuring effective coverage and compliance.
- Provide leadership and coordination to support subordinate enforcement efforts.
- Ensure enforcement activities are carried out accurately, safely, and in alignment with departmental policies and accountability standards.
Requirements
- Experience leading enforcement or field operations with demonstrated decision-making in complex situations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate teams and operations.
