About the Role
ABM Industries is looking for a Facility Manager / Chief Engineer to lead building engineering operations at our TGS site in Laguna Hills. This newly established, high-priority position supports a new client account and blends hands-on technical oversight with day-to-day facility management. You’ll act as a trusted partner for both internal teams and the client, ensuring reliable building performance and smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client regarding facility operations at the Laguna Hills site
- Oversee the facility operating budget, tracking costs and supporting financial planning
- Provide hands-on engineering leadership to manage building systems and operational workflows
- Lead and coordinate facility staff to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Manage vendor coordination for repairs, maintenance, and service delivery
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by communicating progress, issues, and solutions
Requirements
- Strong technical engineering background with facility/building operations experience
- Proven ability to manage facility operations and coordinate vendors
- Experience leading teams and partnering with clients or stakeholders
- Comfort managing budgets and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Location
- Pay rate: $70.00/hour (annualized equivalent: $145,600)
- Location: Laguna Hills, CA (onsite)
