About the Role
We’re seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead Department of the Air Force cybersecurity efforts. In this executive role, you will serve as the primary cybersecurity advisor and set DAF-wide strategy, policies, and direction for protecting mission-critical information systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the comprehensive, DAF-wide cybersecurity program to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems
- Advise senior leaders on cybersecurity strategy, risk posture, and cyber defense priorities
- Develop, establish, and oversee enterprise cybersecurity policies and governance
- Guide cyber defense programs across the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force to improve resilience against emerging threats
- Ensure global operations and systems remain secure and resilient in the face of evolving cyber risk
Requirements
- Proven executive-level experience leading cybersecurity strategy and cyber defense programs
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity governance, policy development, and enterprise risk management
- Ability to advise senior leadership and translate cyber priorities into actionable programs
- Strong leadership skills with experience directing complex, mission-focused cybersecurity organizations
