About the Role
Hayes Locums is seeking a Controller to lead our accounting organization and help drive operational excellence. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support scalable processes as we continue to grow in the healthcare staffing industry.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate close and reporting
- Lead the development and maintenance of internal controls to support compliance and risk management
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to improve financial processes, forecasting, and operational performance
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners as needed
- Support budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis to guide leadership decisions
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting leadership, including month-end close and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, accounting principles, and compliance best practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
