About the Role
ISI Defense is hiring a Cybersecurity Operations Engineer I to support customers across the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). As a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP), we deliver hands-on, white-glove security services that help organizations protect their environments, meet regulatory expectations, and respond to evolving threats.
In this hybrid role, you’ll work closely with our Security Operations Center (SOC), MSP Operations, Compliance, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to run day-to-day cybersecurity operations and improve customer security outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain, and support cybersecurity technologies for customer environments
- Collaborate with the SOC and operations teams to ensure reliable monitoring and incident readiness
- Support proactive security operations to strengthen customer security posture
- Assist with technical execution across engineering and compliance workflows
- Provide responsive, customer-first support to help resolve issues and improve outcomes
Requirements
- Foundational experience in cybersecurity operations or security engineering
- Comfort working with security tools and operational processes in a service provider environment
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with SOC, compliance, engineering, and customer teams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on threat and technology trends
