About the Role
Temple University’s School of Dentistry is seeking a Dental Mechanic II to support the dental education and patient services operations at the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Help maintain and service dental equipment so students and clinicians can deliver safe, high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and maintain dental equipment and related mechanical systems.
- Support preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and ensure reliable performance.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate timely fixes.
- Assist with setup and readiness of equipment for training and clinical activities.
- Maintain service records and follow established safety procedures.
Requirements
- Experience as a dental mechanic or technician, with demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of dental equipment maintenance practices and basic mechanical/electrical principles.
- Ability to follow safety standards and work effectively in a healthcare education environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset.
