About the Role
FWG Solutions is seeking a Diesel Engine Mechanic for the LCAC 100 Program to support the U.S. Navy’s Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) mission on base. In this role, you will help ensure diesel propulsion systems remain mission-ready through skilled operation, maintenance, and repair.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair diesel engines and associated propulsion support systems
- Perform troubleshooting to identify mechanical issues and determine corrective actions
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections to support operational readiness
- Support mission execution by keeping equipment functioning reliably on base
- Follow applicable safety procedures and maintenance requirements while performing work
Requirements
- Hands-on experience working with diesel engines and related mechanical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and complete repairs effectively
- Working knowledge of maintenance practices for propulsion and engine support equipment
- Commitment to safety and quality in all maintenance activities
