About the Role
Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) builds the foundational technologies that power Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud. In this role, you’ll help validate ASIC designs for the Data Processing Unit team, supporting reliable, high-performance cloud infrastructure used by customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Lead ASIC verification efforts to ensure silicon meets functional, performance, and reliability requirements
- Develop and maintain verification plans, environments, and reusable test infrastructure
- Drive coverage closure by analyzing results, identifying gaps, and improving test quality
- Collaborate with design, architecture, and systems teams to debug issues and refine requirements
- Mentor engineers and raise the bar on verification methodology and engineering rigor
Requirements
- Proven experience in ASIC verification, including building verification strategies and testbenches
- Strong skills with industry-standard verification methodologies and tools
- Experience with scripting and automation to improve verification throughput
- Excellent debugging skills and a data-driven approach to coverage and quality
- Ability to communicate clearly across cross-functional engineering teams
