About the Role
LHB is hiring an entry-level Structural Engineer to support our Energy and Industry Business Unit. This role is based in our Duluth or Minneapolis, Minnesota offices and will work within a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with structural design calculations and drawings under the direction of experienced engineers
- Support project teams through virtual and in-person meetings
- Coordinate with the design team to ensure clear, professional communication
- Help with project drafting tasks and related documentation
- Participate in field assessments of existing structures with engineering and technical team members
- Support construction site visits, observations, and field reporting
- Contribute to requests for information (RFIs) and help review submittals
- Help meet client objectives and project expectations
Requirements
- Entry-level experience or a strong academic background in structural engineering
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work setting
- Comfort collaborating with engineers, technicians, and project teams
- Willingness to support field assessments and site visits as needed
