About the Role
Zipline is building an autonomous logistics network that delivers critical supplies quickly and reliably. As a Fleet Commander / RPIC, you’ll play a key role in safe, efficient drone operations that support deliveries of life-saving and essential goods.
Responsibilities
- Serve as RPIC for assigned operations and ensure flights are conducted safely and in compliance with applicable requirements.
- Oversee mission readiness, operational setup, and adherence to procedures before and during flight operations.
- Coordinate with operations teams to support consistent performance across the fleet.
- Monitor operational outcomes and help drive continuous improvement in processes and safety practices.
Requirements
- Experience in drone operations with an RPIC/Fleet Commander type role or equivalent operational leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of operational safety, checklists, and compliance expectations.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
- Excellent judgment and communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams.
