About the Role
WLUK/WCWF is looking for a creative Good Day Wisconsin Producer to help shape our morning newscasts. In this role, you’ll manage the day-to-day production of broadcasts and partner closely with the Executive Producer, Directors, Content Manager, and Anchors to deliver timely, engaging stories for viewers.
Responsibilities
- Determine the content and overall flow of daily newscasts
- Collaborate with management and on-air talent to generate story ideas
- Write accurate, compelling copy for segments and stories
- Develop content that supports both the broadcast and the station website
- Execute station news strategies and goals during daily productions
- Multitask effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Requirements
- Strong news judgment and editorial instincts
- Ability to write clearly, accurately, and engagingly
- Proven time management skills to build an exciting and informative newscast
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Flexibility and quick problem-solving in real time
