About the Role
WLUK/WCWF is seeking a creative Good Day Wisconsin Producer to manage the day-to-day production of our newscasts. You’ll partner closely with the Executive Producer, Directors, Content Manager, and Anchors to shape both on-air and digital content.
Responsibilities
- Determine newscast content and pacing to deliver an engaging, accurate broadcast
- Collaborate with management and on-air talent to generate story ideas and write compelling segments
- Develop content that supports our web presence
- Execute daily news strategies, goals, and programming expectations
- Multitask and coordinate across multiple deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom
Requirements
- Strong news judgment and the ability to make timely editorial decisions
- Compelling, accurate writing skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to build an exciting newscast
- Comfort working in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Flexibility and quick problem-solving in real time
