About the Role
Healthy Learners is a non-profit organization improving children’s health and learning across Zambia and expanding beyond. In partnership with the Government of Zambia, we deliver healthcare directly into schools through a government-owned, government-led model embedded in national systems.
As Head of Product Management, you will lead product strategy and execution for our Digital Health initiatives, helping ensure our solutions effectively support school-based health programming at scale.
Responsibilities
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for Digital Health, aligning product outcomes with program goals and stakeholder needs.
- Lead discovery, definition, and delivery of product initiatives from problem framing through launch and iteration.
- Partner with engineering, design, clinical/program teams, and government stakeholders to translate requirements into clear product plans.
- Drive cross-functional execution, ensuring teams deliver high-quality outcomes on time and with measurable impact.
- Establish product metrics and reporting to track adoption, effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Manage product lifecycle activities including prioritization, backlog management, and release planning.
- Support organizational learning by capturing insights from users, field operations, and implementation data.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading product management in a digital product environment, with strong ownership of strategy and delivery.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, and operations) to ship and improve products.
- Strong understanding of product discovery, validation, and metrics-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including technical and non-technical partners.
- Experience in healthcare, education technology, or impact-focused programs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead with clarity and empathy in a remote setting.
