Head of Supply Chain | Lead Supply Strategy for Spacecraft Programs (Onsite)

About the Role

Fortastra is looking for a Head of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution for our spacecraft portfolio. You will partner across engineering and operations to ensure supplier readiness, procurement effectiveness, and dependable hardware flow as we rapidly develop autonomous spacecraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier strategy, procurement planning, and sourcing execution across spacecraft programs
• Drive hardware readiness by aligning purchasing activities with engineering milestones and delivery schedules
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships to support quality, delivery performance, and cost targets
• Lead cross-functional coordination between Engineering and Supply Chain to resolve risks and unblock execution
• Implement disciplined processes for supplier onboarding, forecasting, and program-level material planning
• Continuously improve supply chain performance through metrics, reviews, and corrective actions

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience owning supply chain strategy and procurement execution in a technical or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of supplier management, readiness planning, and hardware/material delivery lifecycles
• Ability to think systemically, act decisively, and take ownership of mission outcomes
• Experience partnering with engineering teams to meet aggressive development timelines
• Demonstrated success improving execution through process discipline and performance metrics
