Interdisciplinary Engineer/Architect Technical Lead (Direct Hire) - Hybrid/Onsite

About the Role

We are seeking an Interdisciplinary Engineer/Architect Technical Lead to support design, planning, and construction projects. This Direct Hire Authority (DHA) position is part of the DoD Workforce and provides an opportunity to lead technical and administrative efforts for Architect-Engineer (A-E) and in-house design work.

You will serve as a senior design manager responsible for coordinating and delivering highly significant design efforts—from planning and scoping through development, budget support, and contract oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and administrative management for A-E and in-house designs covering construction, maintenance, alterations, and repairs
• Coordinate planning, scoping, and development activities for complex and high-impact design projects
• Support budget development and monitor cost-related aspects of design deliverables
• Oversee and support contract administration for design efforts, ensuring timely and compliant execution
• Apply advanced knowledge of engineering/science methods and management principles to guide project outcomes
• Manage efficient, effective coordination to accomplish design planning and development deliverables

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of management concepts, principles, methods, and practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering and/or science discipline methods, practices, and processes
• Experience providing senior-level design management and coordination across planning, scoping, and development phases
• Ability to support budget development and provide oversight related to design contracts
• Strong technical leadership skills for interdisciplinary design environments
