About the Role
We are seeking an Interdisciplinary Technical Manager to provide technical and administrative leadership for design, planning, and construction efforts. In this Direct Hire Authority (DHA) role within the DoD workforce, you will oversee Architect-Engineer (A-E) and in-house design activities that support construction, maintenance, alterations, and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Plan, administer, and coordinate development of complete sets of plans, specifications, and estimates for construction projects
- Conduct engineering investigative studies and coordinate the preparation of designs, specifications, and estimates
- Prepare government cost estimates to establish design fund requirements and support A-E negotiations
- Provide technical and administrative management across multiple project phases to support successful delivery
Requirements
- Experience managing or coordinating engineering/design preparation for construction projects
- Ability to develop and evaluate plans, specifications, and estimates
- Knowledge of estimating and cost development processes for construction-related work
- Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple project activities
