About the Role
Lab49 is hiring a detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to help deliver complex engineering programs for a global financial services client. You’ll support release governance, Agile execution, and coordination across product and engineering teams—helping ensure work moves smoothly from development to production with the right approvals and controls.
Responsibilities
- Assist with end-to-end release lifecycle management, including planning, validation, approvals, and deployment governance
- Coordinate cross-functional partners across Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Product to align sprint and release goals
- Monitor dependencies, risks, and issues; escalate concerns early and support mitigation planning
- Support Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
- Help ensure user stories include clear acceptance criteria aligned to Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
- Coordinate and support production release activities to maintain delivery consistency
Requirements
- Experience supporting project or program delivery in an Agile environment
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured governance processes
- Ability to coordinate across technical teams and keep stakeholders informed
- Basic understanding of release management, dependencies, risks, and issue tracking
- Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to escalation
