Scout Motors is building the future of rugged American vehicles, combining heritage with electrification and digital innovation. We’re looking for a Lead Engineer to help design and advance automation tooling that improves how our teams build, test, and deliver high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of automation tooling and internal systems
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to identify workflow bottlenecks and automate repeatable processes
- Design robust solutions with an emphasis on reliability, maintainability, and scalability
- Drive documentation, standards, and best practices for tooling across the organization
- Support troubleshooting and optimization to ensure smooth execution across production and test environments
Requirements
- Proven experience building automation tools, scripts, or engineering systems
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and a practical approach to system design
- Experience working with test/CI workflows, data pipelines, or industrial automation concepts
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and communicate technical decisions clearly
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where iteration and ownership matter
