About the Role
Temple University’s Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to help support high-quality patient care and student learning. You’ll play a key role in coordinating day-to-day chairside assistance while helping maintain a welcoming, professional environment in our clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate dental assisting tasks to support efficient patient flow
- Prepare and set up treatment areas, instruments, and materials before and during appointments
- Assist licensed providers chairside and support students in learning proper clinical procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinic workflow standards
- Support infection control and ensure compliance with safety and sterilization protocols
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by communicating clearly and professionally
Requirements
- Experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures and chairside workflow
- Commitment to infection prevention, safety, and compliance
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lead by example and support others in a fast-paced environment
