About the Role
LA28 is the independent, non-profit organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We’re seeking a Manager to lead cleaning and waste planning, ensuring venues and operations are prepared to deliver a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible Games experience.
Please note: LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.
Responsibilities
- Own and coordinate cleaning and waste planning activities across relevant Games operations stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain integrated plans that align operational needs, venue requirements, and sustainability goals.
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure waste streams, collection processes, and cleaning workflows are planned end-to-end.
- Drive planning deliverables, timelines, and documentation for successful execution across the Games lifecycle.
- Contribute to risk identification and mitigation related to cleanliness, waste handling, and operational continuity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations planning, facilities/venue services, or waste management programs.
- Strong ability to integrate requirements across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage timelines and deliverables.
- Knowledge of cleaning and waste handling processes and best practices (preferred).
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
