About the Role
Bursting Silver is hiring a Manager, People & Culture to be our sole People & Culture point of contact. This is a permanent, full-time role in a remote-first environment, where you’ll own employee experience, people development, benefits support, and key people & talent initiatives end to end.
You’ll work hands-on day to day—coaching leaders, supporting employee relations, updating people operations systems, and helping shape company culture through programs and events.
Responsibilities
- Plan and support culture and engagement initiatives such as retreats, recognition programs, celebrations, surveys, and employee engagement activities
- Facilitate All-Hands meetings and Lunch & Learns
- Collect employee feedback, identify trends, and recommend improvements to strengthen workplace culture
- Own the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding through offboarding and everything in between
- Manage HRIS (HiBob), including data updates, reporting requests, and platform customizations
- Lead the recruitment lifecycle and early career support (Graduate & Co-Op programs)
- Manage Canadian and US benefits through brokers and plan providers
- Support time tracking and time-off administration including balances, requests, approvals, and updates
- Partner with Team Leads on people management coaching needs
- Own performance processes, including reviews, bonus calculations, and development or remedial strategies
- Handle day-to-day employee relations matters in partnership with leadership
- Support learning and professional development outcomes via third-party platform engagement and progress monitoring
- Maintain job leveling and salary banding frameworks using market benchmarking data
- Review and help maintain compliance documents, including policies, contracts, and work eligibility requirements
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience, including at least 3 years in a senior generalist or people leadership capacity
- Experience contributing to strategic planning, including role design and reward framework application
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Desired Attributes
- HR or Business Management education/certification or equivalent experience
- Experience owning HRIS and benefits systems is a strong asset
- Experience with Great Place to Work certification processes
- Interest in using AI tools to streamline processes and improve productivity
