Mechanical Construction Manager (Senior) - Onsite in Memphis, TN

About the Role

SpaceXAI is looking for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead mission-critical construction efforts for our data center in Memphis, TN. In a small, high-impact team, you’ll play a hands-on leadership role—driving execution, coordinating stakeholders, and helping ensure engineering excellence from build planning through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical construction activities for the data center, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to align scope, sequencing, and deliverables
• Oversee installation and commissioning support for mechanical systems
• Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to keep milestones on track
• Communicate status and technical needs clearly and concisely with all project stakeholders
• Contribute directly to problem-solving and continuous improvement during build execution

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar leadership role on mechanical construction projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes relevant to mission-critical facilities
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage competing demands, and deliver results in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to share accurate information effectively across teams
• Experience coordinating contractors and managing field execution from planning through closeout
