About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next chapter of iconic American vehicles—modern, electrified, and designed with real-world durability in mind. We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to help develop and advance OBD system capabilities that support our electrified powertrains.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate OBD system functions for vehicle powertrain and emissions-related diagnostics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust diagnostic behavior
- Support system integration and troubleshoot issues across software, calibration, and vehicle test environments
- Drive verification planning, test development, and root-cause analysis for OBD performance and reliability
- Document engineering decisions and support continuous improvement of diagnostic strategies
Requirements
- Experience with automotive diagnostic systems, including OBD/diagnostics fundamentals
- Strong understanding of embedded software concepts and diagnostic logic development
- Hands-on experience with vehicle testing, data analysis, and issue resolution
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment
