Senior Software Verification & Validation Engineer (Embedded) - Hybrid

About the Role

Join our team as a Senior Software Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer responsible for planning, developing, executing, and documenting verification and validation activities for embedded software used in ASP capital systems. In this role, you’ll help ensure our software meets applicable requirements, quality expectations, and regulatory compliance in a medical device environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out software V&V activities, including requirements-based verification
• Support both manual and automated testing approaches for embedded software
• Investigate defects and support root-cause analysis to improve product quality
• Provide support for field issue investigations and troubleshooting
• Maintain and improve the testing lab environment and supporting test infrastructure
• Prepare and support release readiness activities, including evidence generation and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Software, Systems, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Service

Requirements

• Experience performing verification and validation activities for embedded or regulated software systems
• Strong knowledge of requirements-based testing and test documentation practices
• Hands-on experience with manual testing and automated test execution
• Ability to analyze defects and contribute to investigation and corrective actions
• Familiarity with regulated medical device development and compliance expectations
