About the Role
Join our Crypto team in the Software Technologies directorate to build advanced embedded cryptographic capabilities for U.S. military communications products. You’ll work on resilient, secure implementations in close collaboration with hardware, FPGA, and software engineering teams—and coordinate with partners such as the NSA to help ensure mission-ready security.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and harden embedded cybersecurity and cryptographic software for military communications
- Collaborate across hardware, FPGA, and software teams to deliver secure end-to-end capabilities
- Apply security best practices to improve robustness, reliability, and resistance to threats
- Support secure integration and verification activities for embedded systems
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to meet program and security requirements
Requirements
- Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required on day 1 (U.S. citizenship required)
- Experience building embedded software and/or embedded cybersecurity solutions
- Strong understanding of cryptographic or security-focused engineering practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary engineering teams
