About the Role
Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is looking for a dedicated Psychiatrist to support behavioral health services for individuals and families across our region. This role can be filled as a full-time or part-time contract or unclassified appointment, and it offers the chance to work alongside a multidisciplinary team focused on improving mental health outcomes in the community.
The selected candidate will provide expert psychiatric care, including direct patient support and clinical collaboration with staff. The position is expected to be on-site several days per week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Provide medication management and monitor treatment response
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans
- Offer clinical consultation to support care coordination
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes
- Provide on-site support several days each week for direct care
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD/DO) with psychiatry training
- Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Ability to collaborate effectively with behavioral health and clinical teams
- Willingness to work on-site several days per week in Monroe, LA
