About the Role

ELMHS provides mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation for adults through a range of programs across Louisiana. We’re seeking a compassionate, dedicated team member to support our Work Therapy Program in the Rehabilitation Department as a Rehab Evaluator (Entry-Level).

In this role, you’ll help determine clients’ educational needs and support progress through individualized learning plans and targeted instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Assess clients’ educational and learning needs to guide appropriate programming
  • Develop individualized learning plans aligned with client goals
  • Provide group and one-on-one instruction in areas such as literacy and adult basic education
  • Teach practical skills including computer literacy and GED preparation support
  • Contribute to a supportive learning environment that encourages independence and skill-building

Requirements

  • Entry-level experience or strong interest in education, rehabilitation, and adult learning
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse learners and support individualized goals
  • Strong communication skills for coaching clients in both group and individual settings
  • Comfort teaching foundational academic and technology-related skills
