About the Role
ELMHS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator to strengthen our safety culture and readiness across the agency. This role is based in Jackson, Louisiana and supports agency-wide compliance, inspections, and emergency preparedness planning.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee agency safety and emergency preparedness programs
- Ensure regulatory compliance through ongoing program oversight
- Conduct inspections and support corrective actions as needed
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and readiness planning across programs
- Partner with internal teams to promote safety best practices and consistent procedures
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple safety priorities
- Comfort working with regulatory and compliance expectations
- Positive, proactive attitude with strong organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate inspections and follow through on corrective actions
